MAGNIFIQUES – Michel Kelemenis

French dancer and choreographer Michel Kelemenis summons up his memories cradled by Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat.
From darkness to light, from terrorist obscurantism to the extraordinary plasticity of the living, the piece MAGNIFIQUES targets young people who are trying to invent themselves in a time when all identities are asserted in order to live fully “today, between yesterday, tomorrow and elsewhere”.
The piece questions behaviour, self-affirmation and openness to others in a true hymn to youth.
This performance is part of the AU•TOUR DE programme.

In the bushes – Léa Tirabasso

Based on Brahms’ orchestral piece Schicksalslied, Op. 54, In the bushes is a rite, a hypnosis, a celebration of our naked and wild souls. It is an entity between a hairy crotch, The Origin of the World and the observation of beasts hidden behind a bush.
6 creatures in the midst of an initiatory and transformative journey, similar to a spiritual, even orgasmic awakening, a journey marked by repetitions that lead to the trance of counts and heads, hearts and bellies.
“What if the filth of our bodies were in fact the beauty of life?”

Choregraphy : Léa Tirabasso | Dancers : Catarina Barbosa, Laura Lorenzi | Compositors : Johanna Bramli et Ed Chivers, Johannes Brahms | Production : Vasanthi Argouin | Administrator : Sousana Eang | Support : TROIS C-L – Centre de Création Chorégraphique Luxembourgeois
