Let’s start at the beginning, what is “Dance Series“? It’s 4 creators, 4 visions of the world, 4 aesthetics who decide to join forces around the same concept under the impulse of the company AWA. It is articulated around 3 dance-video episodes, each filmed using different shooting techniques that offer a unique experience: live action, VR360 and livestreaming. The red thread remains a theme that can be universal as well as specific to each person, the end of a world, “La Fin De Leur Monde” (that could be translated to “the End of Their Worlds”). Following a period that has shaken up many of our own reference points, Dance Series offers a form of introspection by four artists on the world they have had to leave behind. Our history tries to renew itself and sometimes to repeat itself, an experience of a period, and of a changing universe, cannot be identical. The reclusion linked to the health crisis has changed our habits, it has provided a new form of awareness. Our immortality and our freedoms, which we took for granted, are not so certain anymore. Something to contemplate and reflect on without moderation.
