Jean-Guillaume Weis

His career has a lot of representations and premieres around the world. He was a choreographer in a piece series between 1985 and 1990, and then again from 1998 to this day for Guillaume Weis Dance People.  Since then, he dances mostly in his own creations. He is often invited to collaborate with other companies. In 2002, he created the Dance Theatre Luwembourg and in 2013, the school dance Danzschoul.

Jean-Guillaume Weis teaches ballet and contemporary dance classes in schools and dance institutions in Luxembourg (including the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg). He also proposes stages and workshops in the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main (DE), HJS Amsterdam (NL) and ArchiTanz à Tokyo (JP). He has also diversified his artistic activity as an actor in short films, theatre and advertising.

After Playtime (2014) and Flock (2015), Jean-Guillaume Weis created Bucketful of dreams in 2017. Since 1998, his plays have been presented in Belgium, Germany, France, Poland, Luxembourg and the United States. In June 2018, he presents his latest creation in premiere at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg: DRIVEN.
