“Tania Soubry is a dancer, performer and choreographer, working with body, voice and sound, as well as with place, relationality and transformation. She has created and toured works in Europe, Canada and Hong Kong, ranging from live performances to immersive works and gallery installations. She often works collaboratively and some projects include facilitating, welcoming, interacting and/or participating.

Through sensuality, humour and solidarity, her practice and work are inspired by animism and motivated by poetic re-enchantment, while being in dialogue with political ecology, feminism, decolonialism and queer theories and practices. As a result of tensions, wounds, problems, questions, curiosities and desires, she is concerned with regeneration on an individual, social and planetary level, sometimes through collectivity, joy or using fictional imagination to face the present and create possibilities.

She is co-founder and artistic director of Vibrant Matter.

As a dancer/collaborator, she has worked with collectives, artists, choreographers and companies such as Exit Map, Tino Segal and Pepa Ubera.”
