INLET is all about walls. Walls have always played an important role in human history, whether they’re made of stone or barbed wire, or walls in people’s minds. They serve as borders, fortresses and sanctuaries. They prevent invaders from entering or inhabitants from leaving. Saeed Hani grew up in the Middle East until the age of 26, where he was confronted not only with physical limits but also with many moral and intellectual ones. One of the reasons why he asks the question: How long will the world continue to glorify walls and borders, when they prevent human progress and deprive people of their most fundamental right: the right to a free life?
