The Visit

The Visit project invites you to (re-)visit Esch and its partner communes in southern Luxembourg in the company of professional dancers. The Visit blends art, dance, video and time through the industrial past and present of southern Luxembourg. It invites us to reflect together on our landscapes and our history, and takes a long-term view by multiplying the places, forms and times of exchange around the question of our impact on the spaces that surround us. Following the screening of a short film combining dance and unusual industrial heritage sites, an artistic creation in its own right created for the occasion, the public will be invited to take over these same sites, to attend performances echoing the video-dance. These will question the impact of human activity on landscapes, and will have a direct dramaturgical link with the film.
